Automated pressure gelation, German vacuum casting, Swiss clamping machines and an in-house tool room - the full chain from drawing to dispatched part, in Jebel Ali.
The Process
Automated Pressure Gelation injects degassed, pre-heated epoxy into a heated mold under pressure, holding the part under pressure while it gels. The result: void-free castings with repeatable electrical performance, part after part.
Resin, hardener and filler dosed by precision weighing, mixed homogeneously and degassed on the fly under vacuum.
Material injected into heated steel molds on APG clamping machines, with inserts and conductors pre-loaded.
Temperature, pressure and gelation time held by PLC control; tilting molds keep castings void-free. Post-curing completes the cycle.
Deflashing, machining, fitting of metalwork, then routine electrical testing before packing and dispatch.
Facility 01
The heart of the factory is a fully automatic, PLC-based epoxy processing plant from Hedrich Vacuum Systems, Germany - the latest generation of its kind and the first fully automatic casting plant in the MENA region.
Facility 02
Casting runs on APG clamping machines from Vogel, Switzerland, installed in a range of clamping forces and plate sizes so several component sizes can run in parallel.
| Parameter | Value |
|---|---|
| Clamping force | up to 60 t (600 kN) |
| Max component size | 1200 x 1200 mm |
| Process control | PLC - temperature, pressure, gel time |
| Void control | Tilting mold mechanisms |
Facility 03
Molds are the product before the product. Europoxy designs, machines and maintains its molds in-house with CAD/CAM, which is what lets a new component move from customer drawing to first casting quickly - and stay dimensionally consistent for years of production.
Testing
A qualified testing team runs a world-class test setup on production parts, and the product range is backed by ASTA type tests and third-party test reports.
From a one-off prototype to a multi-year OEM supply agreement.
